After being suggested that I pick a work from the "first production" wanted list in the site, I decided to try The Uncalled by Paul Laurence Dunbar:

Hello, I got a little busy this week and end not doing much. I want to confirm something:

-Much of the dialog is written with ’ and ’ (ex.  Margar’t’s) to indicate non-standard english speech, I kept the spelling as-is because it was made like this on purpose by the author, should I instead fix the spelling?

You should leave that, since that's an intentional use of vernacular spelling.

Don't be concerned about changing the look with a blockquote. We don't aim to make our productions match the exact look of the page scans, and a blockquote is semantically correct for a letter.

It's correct grammar to have only opening quotes on each paragraph of a continued speech, with the closing quote only on the last paragraph.

Do you have public domain proof for your cover art?

Do you mean the ones about the quotes in every chapter? Those ones are writen like in the scans. I'll see if I can fix the other ones.

Those errors are because the single quotes are in the wrong direction (SEMOS 8.7.5.3). The spaces in contractions also need to be removed (SEMOS 8.7.4).

The single quotes should be all fixed now. I couldn't find any of those spaces, could you tell me how to search for them? Other than that it should be ready for review.

(There are still messages in the se lint, but those are all related to the colophon and content, not the work itself).

I plan on finishing this evening after leaving work. I didn't understand the last part about adjusting the selectors, do you mean change from poem to hymn, verse and song?

You need to copy and paste the poem CSS, but you need to change the CSS selectors so it affects the hymn, song, and verse in your work.

for example,

text-indent: 0;
}

should be changed to

[epub|type~="z3998:hymn"] p,

[epub|type~="z3998:song"] p,

[epub|type~="z3998:verse"] p{
text-align: initial;
text-indent: 0;
