Hi everyone,

Philip Gibbs was one of only five official British correspondents during WW1, and this book recounts his experiences during the war. Gibbs clashed constantly with the British censors, and so as the title alludes this is now his "tell all" after the war had finished.

For the cover I was thinking of using The Doctor by Nevinson, Gibbs describes a similar scene during the Battle of the Somme and I think its shock fits the theme of the book. I was also able to find a higher resolution version than what's in the database that I've attached to this email.

Righto, I've finished proof reading now. One question, there's a section where a soldier uses a mix of English and broken French, how should it be italicized?

Italicise the broken French as French; he’s trying at least and it’s definitely not English. You can leave blooming and bally unitalicised though, as those are English words.
