Hi,

Three years ago I attempted to make a Standard Ebooks edition, but had to abandon the project due to work piling up at college. I’ve now graduated college (yay!) and would like to try my hand at it again.

I see that The House at Pooh Corner is a patron-selected wanted ebook on the list. It’s ultra-short with less than 29k words. The Wanted Ebook list says to remove illustrations, but the Winnie-the-Pooh illustrations are an important part of the book, in my view. How hard would it be to include them? Wikisource has good scans.

We don’t include decorative illustrations in our editions. See Winnie the Pooh itself, and the discussion on the list about it.

Sure, you could work on that. We don't keep any decorative illustrations
as a matter of policy. If you want to work on it, send a link to your
repo once you get started and we'll assign you a manager and reviewer.

OK, Emma will manage this with Robin reviewing.

Check the intro email I sent you on your first project, not much has
changed. This is a pretty basic book. Make sure you have the latest
version of the toolset installed and follow the step by step guide:

I think I’ve already found a good cover. One of the most famous parts of the book is Poohsticks, which happens on a bridge. I found an oil painting that has a river, a wooden bridge, and is sorta forest-y.

I’ve cropped it like this: KMS1690 (1) (1).jpg

The painting's OK, but the crop mostly contains a field and not much of the water. Recently, I was collecting some artwork for the database and had some paintings that would work well with your production:

You’re right; the cropping was lousy. Here’s a better one:KMS1690 (3).jpg

Alternatively, The Old Footbridge Over the River Cole at Yardley is also good:1957P31 The Old Footbridge Over The River Cole At Yardley (1).jpg

It’s up to you.
