It would be really helpful for us if you could send us
notes about publications that use Stan. Feel free to mail
this list or mail me directly.

We're in the process of applying for a renewal of our
NSF grant to fund Stan development. NSF wants evience
that Stan's been used by people other than its developers
in many branches of science (biological, social, or physical).

But even if your application isn't science as narrowly defined
by the NSF, we'd still love to hear from you. We do list all
the citations we get on our publications page:

http://mc-stan.org/citations.html

We should change that format from LaTeX to human readable and
maybe provide LaTeX popups (like Google Scholar does).

I think I forgot to send you this one from earlier in the year:

@article{Beheim2014Go,
  author = {Bret A Beheim and Calvin Thigpen and Richard McElreath},
  Title = {Strategic Social Learning And The Population Dynamics Of Human Behavior: The Game Of {G}o},
  Journal = {Evolution and Human Behavior},
  Volume = {35},
  Pages = {351--357},
  Year = {2014}
}

And I'm writing an R package, rethinking, that will accompany a book that uses Stan in the later chapters. If it helps to mention it, can cite it I suppose as:

@Manual{,
    title = {rethinking: Statistical Rethinking book package},
    author = {Richard McElreath},
    year = {2014},
    note = {R package version 1.42},
  }

The latest version does automated imputation, by the way. I still consider it experimental, but it's coming along.

Best,
Richard

It's a bit premature, but I have a paper for next February.

 "Bridging the Gap Between Deterministic and Probabilistic Uncertainty Quantification Using Advanced Proxy Based Methods" paper number: SPE-173301-MS for presentation at the 2015 SPE Reservoir Simulation Symposium to be held 23-25 February, 2015 in Houston, TX, USA.

SPE is the Society of Petroleum Engineers, the foremost professional organisation in my industry, and the topic is probabilistic production forecasts for oil and gas reservoirs. The paper is published as conference proceedings.

It will reference NUTS rather than Stan.

Thanks to everyone. I'm adding all the citations to
our web page.
