Just try again. The StanHeaders package was broken for a day or two.

Just a quick question: do you know version of by you've installed? Stan 2.12 doesn't work with Boost 1.62 as far as I know.

And what version of g++?

sorry, what version of what exactly?
Stan 2.12 doesn't work with Boost 1.62 as far as I know.

How do I check the version of Boost? if it's libboost it says 1.58

And what version of g++?

g++ says 4:5.3.1-1ubuntu1

sorry -- I typed too quickly. I meant the bh package.

But I'd follow Ben's directions first.

Hi Ben,

I could install StanHeaders without problems, but then when I try with
> install.packages("rstan", repos = "https://cloud.r-project.org/", dependencies=TRUE)
I still get the same errors

Hi,
ok I solved it. The fresh installation installed the latest BH 1.62, which doesn't work with rstan. I just installed the previous BH, and everything seems to be working.

Bruno

Ben's about to patch things so RStan will work with BH 1.62.
Stay tuned.

That already happened. That's why I was saying the OP just needed to try again. But installing the old BH is fine too.
