Hi,

Eric and I are doing the Stan workshop at ODSC next Friday (20th of May) and I'm wondering which syntax to teach (I thought rstan was already on "lp +=" rather than increment_log_prob and "=" for assignment rather than "<-" but now I'm not sure (my stuff doesn't compile with "=" for assignment and "update.packages" isn't updating rstan... any suggestions on which syntax to go with for the best workshop experience?

Nope, we haven't released yet. It's merged into
develop, but we're still working on just one more thing
for 2.10 (this time, I believe it's the ODE stuff holding
us up).

That makes more sense, I've mostly been using cmdstan develop branch so I didn't realize it wasn't released yet! We'll stick to the release since we're sending out install instructions but I'll try to mention the highlights for upcoming changes. Krzysztof

I have got the useR workshop June 27, but I can only due one rstan upload per month. So, it looks as if I may not be able to do rstan 2.10.0 in May and will just roll everything into a mid-June release.

Going through and updating my old models as I rerun
them has been quite enjoyable.
