I just registered the domain for 5 years with
pairNIC.com and signed up for a year of site hosting
with pair.com. (I chose those because they were
recommended by a friend I trust as having good uptime, speed,
and service and being easy to use [ftp and ssh] and relatively
inexpensive [$10/month]. There is a bewildering slew of options
out there.)

Does anyone (other than Malecki and Daniel) want the pwd
and upload info? And if so, do you mind if I e-mail them
rather than printing them on self-destructing paper?

Thanks. And do we have mc-stan.com too?

Now that I think about it, it's only $65/5 years
to get mc-stan.com, too. So I'll go do that.
I'll just have that redirect to mc-stan.org.

mcstan.org is also available, but not mcstan.com.
Should I get that, too?

Sure, let's get mcstan.org too…. I'm looking forward to telling people, "Just go to mc-stan dot org." That way I don't have to emphasize the hyphen.

We do now. I set it up so that mc-stan.com just
points to mc-stan.org.

It'll take a day or two to filter through DNS
servers.

These are 5-year contracts, by the way.

Good thinking. I just set that one up, too. So
the tally is:

mc-stan.org
mc-stan.com
mcstan.org

mcstan.com is not available, I'm afraid.
