Where do I get the latest clang++ for
Mac OS X Snow Leopard? I see things about
it on the Macports page, but nothing at all
like instructions.

And any suggestions on which to use, 3.0
or 3.1?

Mikes-MacBook-Air:R malecki$ which clang
/usr/local/bin/clang
Mikes-MacBook-Air:R malecki$ clang --version
clang version 3.1 (trunk 145924)

(that's under lion built with xcode4.2, sorry I don't have a 10.6 around anymore)
I built it by checking out/following http://clang.llvm.org/get_started.html

You can also grab one on MacPorts:
http://www.macports.org/ports.php?by=name&substr=clang

3.1 is just "trunk". They don't even have a release calendar for it
yet, much less a beta. Jiqiang had some segfault with trunk that I
didn't encounter with 3.0. So, I would say to use 3.0. Otherwise, the
next time something weird happens, it will be "check to see if it
still happens on 3.0".

Sorry, that wasn't enough help for me.
I'm a terrible sysadmin.

I'd found that before, but I don't see the path
from there to answering my question:

How do I install Clang 3.0?

If I click on the link "clang 3.0" it takes me to
what looks like a source file called "clang-3.0/Portfile"
and nothing even remotely looking like instructions
for what to do with it.

Sorry -- should have been clearer. Type into a terminal window:
sudo port install clang-3.0

After typing your password, it should attempt to download a bunch of
stuff. I'm downloading clang-3.0 now. I'll let you know if it's
successful in a little bit.

It installed as clang++-mp-3.0, but I can't get it to make everything.

We'll talk tomorrow about it. I'm still having issues with the Windows
box that I hope to solve tomorrow.
