For anyone who hasn't been checking the new dev forum on discourse, I just posted a draft of
a set of guidelines for Stan users who plan on developing R packages providing an interface to Stan here (scroll down to the latest reply):

http://discourse.mc-stan.org/t/guidelines-for-rstan-based-packages/83

If you have any feedback please let me know!

Or go here http://discourse.mc-stan.org/t/guidelines-for-rstan-based-packages/83/10, which will take you to the right spot in the discussion thread.

What is the procedure to get approval to reply on the developers 'subforum' on discorse - that option does not seem to be available to me (but can on the generally available one.

I wanted to suggest also linking to http://r-pkgs.had.co.nz/ as a reference for the other details about how to manage an R package in general

Eg... you should follow the general guidelines and suggestions as outlined by Hadley in http://r-pkgs.had.co.nz/

In addition, we also implore the following guidelines to followed to work with stan within your package (notes about stan, unit testing emphasis etc)
