Hi,

Trying to install RStan on linux and the `install.R` script isn't
working for me. When I install RStan everything compiles but then I get
this message:

> ** preparing package for lazy loading
> ** help
> *** installing help indices
> ** building package indices

Are there any alternatives I should try? Will this perhaps be fixed by
RStan being on CRAN?

Thanks,

CRAN won't help because R does installation from source outside of Windows and Mac. Did you build R from source or install it from a binary package in a repository? It works for me under Debian with either way.

Nevermind, it's some esoteric problem with `conda`. Thanks!
