I had no problem building Stan and running tests with
the new Xcode (6.0.1) and the new Mac OS X patch (10.9.5).

Michael, I'm very curious as to what this'll do to
Nomad (caps or no caps?).

P.S. The 6.0.1 Xcode now has:

$ clang++ --version

Apple LLVM version 6.0 (clang-600.0.51) (based on LLVM 3.5svn)
Target: x86_64-apple-darwin13.4.0
Thread model: posix

I’ve been building with MacPort's LLVM 3.6 — it seems to significantly
reduce the runtime variation. Looks like things are only getting better
as the compilers improve their optimizations.
