Hi all, I'm new here, pls help me. I tried to installing the ch340 driver for windows 11. I don't know why the ch340 didn't show up after I'm installing the driver. Already tried to change the cable data, restarting my computer, still didn't work. I'm using ESP8266MOD.

The ch340 IIRC does not have a bootloader and is just a serial to usb adaptor.
The Mega is a different matter but can be flashed via the ICSP header which is also useful if you fry the USB sides of boards.
Hello.
I have been using arduino uno/nano clones for a long time that work with ch340.
After an update, my boards were not detected in the arduino ide.
After some research, I installed the AUR package ch34x-dkms-git which solved the problem for other people.
The installation ends without error message for my current kernel but there is no change on the situation in the ide.
It might still be necessary to have this ch340 driver installed to support some older legacy boards but ideally for system security and stability this outdated driver should not be installed. Even when installed the usbserial.kext does not appear in the listing from "kmutil showloaded" so it probably not being loaded.
