Stalker Portal and TvHeadend

Hello I'm trying to setup stalker portal with tv headend, my tvheadend is set up and work great. I got stalker portal(ubuntu) installed but when I but in the address to connect to the portal it stays at the loading screen with the yellow status bar rotating, but nothing happens. also i want to use stalk android app because my clients have ott/iptv boxes. thank you in advance.

Hi,

I had the same issue.

1. Make sure to use the very latest version of TVHeadend. The newer versions give you more stream options. I use MKV stream option.
2. In TVHeadend, copy the link (the PLAY link on the left hand side of each channel) and put this into SMW - new channel link - edit the link and remove everything after the ? - including the ?
3. Note that you need a powerful box for TVHeadend, transcoding is very processor hungry! If you dont transcode, WAN access is very choppy.

okay I'm running 4.0 tvheadend but thats not really my problem I have mxq devices and i want to use the emulator or the stalker android app. when I put the the url link (http://myipaddress:port/stalker_portal/c/indel.html) it connects but it stays at there loading screen with the loading bar swirling for hours and nothing happens. I also change the url to the api auth and it asks for a user namer name and password. what is the default user and password to login or do i have to configure it?

The way I got around this was to create a user in tvheadend, with no name or password (blank entries), you can then watch streams from tvheadend without problem. For security, you can enable MAC address access for clients once you have everything working fine.

I need help with the stalker android app,everytime I try to connect to the stalker middle ware using the user:password auth and api hit save and try to connect it says "internal server error"
