Hi everyone,

Hope you're enjoying this sunshine. Here are a few things on our mind in May:

πŸ“’ Next meeting: 6pm Tuesday, May 20th, St. Albans City Hall - All are welcome to attend this public meeting, and virtual options are available. An agenda is on the City website.

πŸ“’ Call for new members! - Our committee will soon be looking to add a couple new members. If you're interested, please contact Chip Sawyer (c.sa...@stalbansvt.com).

πŸ‘· Free weatherization training in St. Albans this June - Resource Vermont is offering job training. From the organizers:

  • Do you like working with your hands? Start a new career as a Weatherization Technician. ReSOURCE's 6-week "Weatherization 101" training starts June 2, 2025 in St. Albans. Gain hands-on instruction, trade credentials, and job placement. Free tuition plus a $450/week training stipend. To learn more and apply visit resourcevt.org/weatherization-101.

🌎 Vermont Climate Action Plan - Several of our committee members attended the St. Albans input session last month. We were grateful for the opportunity to hear directly from the Vermont Climate Council about their plans for transportation, heating our buildings, education, jobs, health, and other aspects of climate action in Vermont.

🌱 Did you attend our biochar event in March? - We would love to hear from you if you have any feedback!
_____

That's all for now, everybody! Take care.

Sincerely,
The St. Albans Climate & Energy Committee
