Hi neighbors ๐Ÿ‘‹

Sending each of you all our best on this chilly Monday evening. Here are a few things we're up to as we enter the snowier months of the year:

๐Ÿ“’ Next meeting: 6PM Tuesday, Jan. 21st, St. Albans City Hall - All are welcome to attend this public meeting, and virtual options are available. An agenda is on the City website. There are a couple of extra important things to note:

  • Regular meetings are now on the 3rd Tuesday of each month. They're still at 6pm inside City Hall.

  • Weโ€™ll be welcoming new committee members: Janet Johnson, Elizabeth Spier, and Alex Furst have stepped up to help. Glad to have you with us, team!

๐ŸŒฑ Are you on our free biochar waitlist yet?ย - You can add your name here. Biochar is great for anybody looking to enrich their soil: Itโ€™s a type of charcoal which is made at high temperatures. Benefits to plant growth vary depending on soil type. But generally, biochar can help supercharge your garden. Our plans are to distribute it in the Spring.

๐Ÿ“— Climate book club at St. Albans Free Library - Some folks connected to All We Can Save are planning to host a climate book group on climate change at the library later this winter. Weโ€™ll be discussing more at our meeting. In the meantime, hereโ€™s more information about these book โ€œcircles.โ€

That's all for now, everybody. As always, thanks for reading. And stay warm out there!

Sincerely,
The St. Albans Climate & Energy Committee
