I use Fl Studio and since some updates of Fl Studio and Native Access my plugins in the Komplete Kontrol player and Maschine doesnt work any more. Also in my Kontakt player comes the issue, Player too Old on my new ashlight instrument but all other ones work.
I have updated everything, in standalone everything works normal. But when i open it in Fruity loops my Plugin folder is empty. All locations are correct. Ive already, reinstalled everything, tried to relocate everything. I did not delete or move any folders.
First Check that the Version numbers of the Plugins are the same as the version Numbers of the Standalone Apps (All Three), if not, then when you upgraded, more than likely the Plugins did not get updated which would cause this issue. Make sure that Fruity Loops is scanning the Latest Versions of the plugins.
I would like to create audio plugins with Juce and, in order to do that, I tried if I would be able to test them in the AudioPlugin Host by using the ArpeggiatorTutorial example provided in tutorials.
Regarding plugin detection in the Jucer host, is there some way to only make my Juce created AudioUnits appear in the lists? When I scan it takes forever and I get all my regular plugins which is of no use when developing. For VST3, I can chose directory but not for AU.

A: There's no holy grail when it comes to plugins. You will still need to make good music and know how to tweak your shit. In the end: there are no "magical" plugins - not even if they have an angry sausage in the interface. But it will certainly make your tracks and sounds greasier and fatter.

This area comes down to a matter of preference, as both programs offer a wide array of sounds and plugins to explore. I personally love the stock samples of Ableton over FL's, but as mentioned above, both programs allow you to download expansion packs.
Editing audio can be done from the playlist directly, or in one of the editing plugins, like Edison or Newtime, which is a time manipulation editor. If you love to sample, you're also able to slice audio up in its justly named Fruity Slicer.
Mixing in Ableton is really not better or worse than mixing in FL, as it really comes down to preference and experience. Both programs allow for third-party VSTs to be used if needed, and the stock plugins are sure to help get the job done as well.
In the end, fancy plugins can be helpful in some situations, but they aren't necessary to make good music, and focusing too much on them can take attention away from more important parts of making music.
