Also when the wights are attacking the men trapped on the island it appears the dragon glass weapons seem to just graze over the wights, though this might just be the editing not being good enough to make the attacks look like they are actually hitting.
When he opened his eyes the Other's armor was running down its legs in rivulets as pale blue blood hissed and steamed around the black dragonglass dagger in its throat. It reached down with two bone-white hands to pull out the knife, but where its fingers touched the obsidian they smoked.
For example, sometimes people cover themselves in walker blood to blend in with the walkers, but what if they had a small cut on their body and some of the blood got in? Would they get infected and turn?

I just got back from a great weekend at the New England Federation of Humane Societies Conference where I had the chance to spend a couple of days learning about better ways to support the pets and people in our communities. As a bonus, I also got to attend a TACT seminar!
Julie showed us some videos of her clients, that I wish I could show you. The early sessions began in an enclosed room with just the handler, the dog, and Julie. Each time they met, throughout each stage of progress, the same protocols and routines were utilized in order create and maintain predictable patterns.
The dogs are rewarded throughout this process by clicking and treating whenever they offer up certain foundation behaviors, such as looking at the person (similar to LAT), checking out novel items, or eventually allowing brief touch.
As Julie pointed out, touch is subjective, so we have to let our dogs choose if they want to be touched. In TACT the dogs are eventually touched by Julie, through slow, measured steps and, if the dogs actively seek out more touch, she moves on to therapeutic body work.
"The following familiar ability works differently for a gravewalker:Deliver Touch Spells (Su): At 3rd level or higher, a gravewalker can use her poppet to deliver touch spells. After casting a
touch spell, as a full-round action, the witch can designate a target and stab a pin into her poppet, delivering the spell as a ranged touch attack. The target must be within range of her aura of desecration ability (see below)."
The ability is really horribly punctuated. The commas encapsulating "as a full-round action" really muddy the waters. If the ability was written "After casting a touch spell as a full round action, the witch can..." or "After casting a touch spell, as a full round action the witch can..." the meaning would be clear. However, because they put commas on both sides of the phrase, it could go either way.
Well I don't think I or anyone has expressed a problem with either one, I was just looking for some consensus. The wording is wonky and can go either way. Honestly, doing it all as a full round action is not (imho) overpowered as you are giving up all the benefits of a familiar to do it.
Hi, Alan. Yes. Most of the kids were very fascinated by the snakes, but a few kept their distance at first. But even those who started out afraid soon reached out to touch or even hold one or both of the snakes. It was wonderful seeing their confidence build so quickly.
Why I like it: The Glass Sippy Cup allows your baby or toddler to handle a glass cup independently. Liquids only touch glass and silicone on the inside, while the outer plastic shell protects from breakage.
Details: The Glass Sip & Straw Cup allows baby to safely handle a glass cup independently. Liquids only touch glass and silicone on the inside, while the outer plastic shell protects from breakage. A silicone sippy and straw spout are included for extended use and to grow with baby. Parents and babies love the Glass Sip & Straw Cup because it is safer from the inside out.
When LO goes in their baby walker how are their feet supposed to be? That doesnt make sense: there are different heights on the walker and on the lowest level Dexter's feet can easily touch the floor flat, in fact he has to bend his legs to rest on his toes and he sort of pushes up so much that he bounces rather than walks... on the the next height his toes just touch the floor and he does more of a walking motion as he cant push off the floor as much to 'bounce' but he cant put his feet flat if he wanted to.
I didn't have one for Archie as we didn't have space, but he used one at the childminder and loved it. I had heard they cause children to walk on their toes, but know so many children that have used them and walk normally that I'm not sure there's any truth in it. We bought one for Phoebe last week and on the lowest setting her toes only just touch the ground. I have put shoes on her and this helps a bit. She loves it though and can still push herself along with her toes. I think if his feet go flat then that's probably the best position, however he seems most comfortable.
Evie was in hers when our HV visited and mentioned this, we didnt know anything about the tiptoe thing before this, but she said just to put an ordinary cushion underneath her feet so her feet are flat on the cushion, so you could maybe try that, and that way your LO can still push down on it. Although Evies feet only reach with tip toes on lowest setting so it may be different if he can already reach properly....it will be interesting to see answers, although I think we can worry about too much and so long as he isnt in it all the time, I'm sure you wont do him any harm :)
I think it's supposed to be so his feet are nearly fully flat on the floor. But i'm not 100% sure, I've never had one for my two. Personally, i don't like them! Like they've said above it can encourage tippy-toe walking (which my friends little one does because of it and he's nearly 3), and there have been lots of cases where the walkers have tipped over aswell - that was my main reason for not getting one. I love the jumperoo :):) x
I just don't understand what people have against baby walkers.. its ridiculous... anyway, Emily loves hers and her feet are flat on the floor at the moment.. when she was a little smaller she used to just go backwards on her toes but now walks quite confidently backwards and forwards.
i'd just like to say that it isnt rubbish that baby walkers can encourage children to walk on the tip-toes. my 2nd daughter does this and the first question i am always asked by doctors hv etc is 'did you use a baby walker?' (i didnt) but i have also spoken to children's physios who say the overwhelming majority of children referred for this condition DID use baby walkers (they need physio because walking on tip-toe can shorten the ligaments in the leg so they CANT put the foot flat anymore.
Hey guys! So in my world I came across a village with a Librarian who sold Frost Walker II books for like 40 Emeralds!!! I bought them, then nearly immediately regretted it. Someone tell me, what is Frost Walker useful for?!?! I mean, it's so annoying that you can't combine it with Depth Strider books/boots, and why not use boats which are faster?! Did I just waste nearly a stack of Emeralds? Or did I do something extremely worth it? Tell me your suggestions and uses for Frost Walker and we can see if it is worth it!
Probably the biggest use for it though is moving animals around since they can follow you over the ice rather than having to wait for them to swim. Whether anyone does that often enough to warrant putting frost walker on anything is another question.
^^^
was about to say this. Recall that ice slipperiness increases transport speed. Players use them to run and jump to get up to speeds way faster then normal. They are also used in those super-fast item and mob transport systems that use water flows and ice. They are waaaay faster and cheaper then a hopper line. Previously you needed to silk touch mine tons of ice and transport, now you can just freeze the floor under low light levels and as long as you don't light it to much near the ice not covered in water flows it'll stay frozen. You could also use it as just a cool floor but entity transport is a more practical use.
Also if you want to laugh at mobs you can use it to freeze a huge lake, cover the lake in soul sand then watch the mobs move in incredible slow-mo. The ice magnifies the soul sand slowing effect. You can also add cobwebs for even more ridiculousness.
I would say other then novelty, easier construction of entity transport systems and being able to ride or run over lakes and oceans is the only practical uses. Also, depth strider + frost walker is incompatible for a reason: you can't swim if you are freezing all the ice. And don't try to jump into a lake or use splashdown pools with them either. It'll freeze and you'll crunch and die.
It would also be great if they froze water while in a boat, considering how crazy fast boats on ice are now. But that doesn't work either, even if you freeze the water first. As soon as you enter the boat the frost walker effect stops.
