Make sure that your computer is a Windows Me, 98, XP, or 2000 pre-installed modelYour computer must be a Windows Me, 98, XP, or 2000 pre-installed model. You may not be able to install or run the USB printer driver on a computer which is not equipped with a USB port or which has been upgraded from Windows 95 to Windows Me, 98, XP, or 2000.

Make sure that EPSON USB Printer Devices appears on the Device Manager menu (for Windows Me and 98 only)If you canceled the plug-and-play driver installation before the procedure was complete, either the USB printer device driver or the printer driver may be incorrectly installed.

Turn off the printer and restart your computer. Then, reinstall the drivers from the beginning, following the instructions in the Setup Sheet.Printer does not work correctly with the USB cableIf your printer does not work correctly with the USB cable, try one or more of these solutions:

First, uninstall EPSON Printer Software using the Add/Remove Programs utility in the Control Panel, then uninstall EPSON USB Printer Devices. If EPSON USB Printer Devices is not registered in the Add/Remove Programs list, access the CD-ROM and double-click epusbun.exe in Win9x folder. Then follow the on-screen instructions.

The printer does not work and the control panel lights are off even when you turn on the printer.CauseWhat to doThe power cord is not properly plugged into the electrical outlet or your printer.Turn off the printer, and make sure the power cord is firmly plugged into the electrical outlet and the printer, if necessary. The printer does not load single-sheet paper or does not feed it properly. Make sure that the printer works correctly when it is connected to your computer without these devices.The printer driver is not installed correctly.Check that the printer driver is installed properly.
