Green Hustings - Save the date!

Sustainability Matters in Stafford Borough and Stafford Friends of the Earth have organised a 'Green Election Hustings' on Thursday 16th April. This will take place at the Oddfellows Hall at 7pm.

It will be run in a 'Question Time' style and will be chaired by Alison Thomas, a journalist working at the Staffordshire Newsletter. At present the line up is Mike Shoan (Green Party), Jeremy Lefroy (Conservative Party) and Kate Godfrey (Labour Party), with other prospective candidates yet to confirm.  

Transport, housing and land use, recreation, energy, farming, climate change and wildlife, plus lots more will be the topics under discussion with the overall theme being 'Choices for our Environment'. Anyone wishing to ask a question will be invited to submit it in writing on the night.

This is a vital opportunity for you, the electorate of Stafford Constituency, to quiz the candidates about the environmental policies of the contending parties. So put the date in your diaries and come prepared for an interesting and lively debate.
