Role - Senior Data Integration Developer
Location - Morristown, NJ
Responsibilities:
- Work with our business partners to discover data sources, and create data requests;
- Design/Develop the ETL processes, routes and API’s to ingest structured and unstructured data into our Data Management Supply Chain
- Leverage a variety of data sources (Databases, IoT, internal/external documents, images, video, and operational data)
- Develop the Covanta Data Architecture under the guidance of the Covanta Senior Data Architect.
- Stay educated on new and emerging technologies/patterns/methodologies related to data management and integration
- Work with Data Services team for delivering new projects
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in software development, database design and data manipulation
- Programming languages: .NET, Java
- Proven Experience with Talend
- Proven expertise in Talend Data Fabric with Jobs and Routes strongly preferred
- API development expertise
- Strong SQL Skills - Ability to develop complex queries
- Experience with data visualization tools – especially Microstrategy and PowerBI desireable
- Strong working knowledge of MS Office products
- Experience/Understanding of Cloud Architectures, Data Integrations and Data Migrations
- Experience working with containers like Docker
- Ability to convert, integrate and manipulate data across various applications
- Ability to define and develop application test scenarios and to compare data discrepancies on a mass basis
- Develop and/or modify programs typically related to database updates, records modifications, processing of data and reporting
- Ability to pick up new languages and technologies quickly
- Excellent communication, writing and presentation skills
- Strong technical analytical skills
- Critical thinking and attention to details
