Position: Sr. Hadoop Developer

Location: Newark, NJ

Duration: 12 Months

· Working with database architects, developers, business analysts and domain experts to understand our complex system.

· Developing and building a data strategy to improve data quality and operational efficiencies.

· Improving reporting capabilities including business intelligence dashboards and data visualization software.

· Instituting a data architecture and governance discipline to advance rapid delivery of products and data insights.

· Evolving a future state application architecture that supports business priorities and objectives while being flexible.

· Handling the local architecture governance process that reviews and monitors the design of new solutions and ensures technology solutions follow the enterprise technology policies and standards.

· Strategizing and leading the integration and monetization of Data.

· Proposing and presenting technical solutions and advising the business on the technical and business value of the proposition.

· Providing architecture and technology support across a range of technologies including but not limited to Cloudera Hadoop stack, SQL, Tableau, Informatica, and Collaboration platforms.

· Keeping up-to-date on new technology, standards, protocols and tools in areas related to the rapidly changing digital environment.

· Financial Services experience with a consistent record of delivering projects on-time, on budget and within scope.

Technical

· Information Services data solutions implementation

· Enterprise Data warehouse and Data Lake design and implementation

· Data architecture

· Data management or data integration/conversion

· Data modeling, using industry standard tools (i.e. ER Studio, Enterprise Architect, CA Erwin etc.)

· Enterprise Architecture and Data Governance on Hadoop clusters.

· Current Industry knowledge of forward-looking data technologies like Big Data, Hadoop, MongoDB, In memory DB’s and streaming data.

· Expert knowledge of Cloudera Hadoop technology stack including Hive, Pig, Spark, HBase, Kafka, Streaming technologies.

· Experience in performance tuning of Hadoop applications.

· Experience of using third party frameworks for data ingestion and data management.

· Broad knowledge of Agile project methodology (SAFe) and ITIL standard methodologies
