· Mandatory Expert-Level Skills:
o Strong people and communications skills, ability to coach software development teams on DevSecOps best practices through demanding pipeline onboarding schedules.
o GitLab CI/CD pipeline development (YAML, variables, secrets management, pipeline jobs/stages configuration)
§ Templating, compliance frameworks, pipeline execution policies
o GitLab runners
o Pipeline troubleshooting (build errors, deployment errors, Terraform errors, connectivity errors, runner errors, Docker errors, etc.)
o Git skills – version control - (commands, branching strategy, merge, rebase, etc.)
o AWS deployments through GitLab CI/CD pipeline
o Terraform
o On-premise deployments through GitLab CI/CD pipeline
§ Ansible, OpenShift, VMs
o Scripting (Bash, PowerShell, Python, etc.)
o JFrog Artifactory
o Expert with the build/deployment processes of common software tech stacks: (Java, Maven/Gradle, NodeJS, NPM/Yarn, .NET, .NET core, Python, Database, SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, RDS, Aurora, Dynamo, etc.)
o Deployment methodologies (Canary, Blue-Green, rolling, SSH, etc.)
o Automated Unit Testing practices through the CI/CD pipeline
o Containerization (Docker image development and deployment)
o Security scanning tools and code vulnerability remediation support for Code Quality (SonarQube), SCA/SAST (Veracode, GitLab), Containers (CrowdStrike, Qualys, GitLab), Infrastructure as Code (Stacklet, Wiz) .
o Secrets Management (Hashicorp Vault, AWS Secrets Manager, Azure KeyVault).
o Agile work methodology (working on user stories, features, backlogs, etc.)
· Additional Optional skills preferred:
o Azure DevOps SCM and CI/CD pipelines
o Backstage (used for Developer Portal)
