Position: Senior / Principal Java Engineer
Location: 100% Remote (EST hours)
Duration: Through end of year (strong likelihood of extension)
Start Date: ASAP
Schedule: EST hours – team works through holidays (no extended shutdowns)

Overview:
We’re looking for a Senior or Principal-level Java Engineer to join a small, agile Product Engineering team (3–4 engineers). You’ll be part of a 25–30 person engineering organization, collaborating cross-functionally while owning backend services and core product components.
This is a hands-on backend engineering role ideal for someone from a smaller, fast-paced company or startup environment who enjoys autonomy, lean development practices, and quick iteration cycles.
Required Qualifications
7+ years of experience building and maintaining backend or distributed systems.
Strong Java development skills.
Proven experience working in small companies or startup environments (required).
Deep understanding of database systems (Redshift, MySQL, or similar).
Familiarity with lean software development and DevOps practices.
Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, low-ego approach.
