Dear,
I am encountering an issue with tsv2bam:

/usr/local/bin/tsv2bam -P /mnt/Data/ddRAD_phylogeny/assembly_ligata  --threads 16 -M /mnt/Data/ddRAD_phylogeny/demultiplexed/info/assembly_ligata.txt -R /mnt/Data/ddRAD_phylogeny/demultiplexed/
Logging to '/mnt/Data/ddRAD_phylogeny/assembly_ligata/tsv2bam.log'.
Configuration for this run:
  Stacks directory: '/mnt/Data/ddRAD_phylogeny/assembly_ligata/'
  Population map: '/mnt/Data/ddRAD_phylogeny/demultiplexed/info/assembly_ligata.txt'
  Num. samples: 123
  Paired-end reads directory: '/mnt/Data/ddRAD_phylogeny/demultiplexed/'
  Multithreaded.

Paired-end reads files found, e.g. '/mnt/Data/ddRAD_phylogeny/demultiplexed/ligata_8806.2.fq.gz'.

I have installed Stacks 2.68 on Fedora 41. tsv2bam starts to load the catalog and then each time it ends with the same error message. I googled a bit and it appears to be an issue that hstlib has with zlib-ng (https://github.com/alexdobin/STAR/issues/2063)
I tried this advice: https://github.com/samtools/htslib/issues/1257#issuecomment-804777479 and reinstalled Stacks, and it seems to work. However, it may be worth a fix. Please, could somebody look into this?
Best, Ondřej
