Dear colleagues,

We are pleased to announce the Physalia online course: RAD-seq Data Analysis using Stacks (10th edition)

Dates:  7–11 December

Course website: https://www.physalia-courses.org/courses-workshops/course16/

Reduced representation sequencing methods such as RAD-seq, ddRAD, and GBS are widely used in evolutionary and population genomics. This course provides a practical introduction to experimental design and computational analysis of RAD-seq data, with a strong focus on the Stacks pipeline.

Across five days, participants will learn how to:

  • Perform data quality control and preprocessing
  • Assemble loci de novo and with reference genomes
  • Select informative genetic markers (SNPs)
  • Apply RAD-seq data to population genetics, phylogenetics, and GWAS

The course combines short lectures with extensive hands-on exercises using real datasets, including guided practice and independent analysis work.

We look forward to seeing you in December.

Best regards,
Carlo
