Since that is not listed as an Issue... does that mean it is
implemented? Or does someone need to add it to the issues lust to get
it resolved?

Aaron,
Currently the SDK does not provide convenience UI controls like progress indicators. If you would like to see it as a feature please submit it to GitHub issues with the tag "feature request". Under the hood, the SDK is using NSURLConnection so it is possible to build a progress indicator like you would for other iOS applications that use that class and its delegate.
