Hello guys.

I would you like you to give me some ideas to migrate the pallets and all stuff that I have already in an hpc based on Stackiq4. Is there any sistematic process that I can follow? And I am worry about the pallets, are they compatible with the stackiq5 version? Because I was reading the changes in the release 5 and there is a change about the xml language.

Thank you in advance for your help.

Have  a great 2021 !!

Hi,

Are these your own pallets? I believe that Stacki5 is backward compatible with the older v4 xml language. You would have to test by migrating one of your pallets to stacki5 and testing it.

Thanks,

Joe

Yes these are own pallets. But I would like to confirm if the pallets written for rocks and stacki4 are compatible with stackiq5, Do you know how can In confirm that before deploying to test it?

Add the pallet to the stacki5 frontend, and then run "stack list host profile <nodename>" to see if it generates a proper kickstart.

Thanks,

Joe
