It is with great sorrow that we write to inform you of the falling asleep of Maria J. Jones.

Services: Viewing on Friday, February 6th starting at 10:00 a.m. at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 1607 W. Union Blvd., Bethlehem. Funeral service begins at 11:00 a.m. with interment following at Union Cemetery, Slatington, Pa. Arrangements by Nicos C. Elias Funeral Home, Allentown.

May her memory be eternal.

Obituary:
Maria J. Jones, 86, of Allentown passed away January 29th at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest. She was born in Aghia Paraskevi, Mytilene, Greece to the late Anesti and Eleni Kalatges. She was talented at needlepoint, which led to her learning to be a seamstress for many years, working over 20 years at Hess’s Department Store in Allentown. She was a member of St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Cathedral, Bethlehem, where she was part of their Senior Citizen’s group, the Philoptochos Society and Daughters of Penelope. Maria was an excellent cook and enjoyed traveling back to her hometown in Greece over the years.
 
She was predeceased by her loving husband John G. Jones and siblings Panayioti and Katerina, and leaves behind her daughter Olympia Jones and her sons Stratos and Yanni Tripajis; daughter Ellen Berg and her husband Michael and their sons Brayden and Nikolaos Berg of Bellmawr, New Jersey; a brother Christo Kalatges in Greece and extended family.
