Dear Parishioners,

It is with great sorrow that we write to inform you of the falling asleep of Panagiotis Valavanis.

Services: Mr. Valavanis will Lie In Repose in the Cathedral on Friday April 16, starting at 8 a.m. for the PreSanctified Liturgy. There will be a public viewing from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., with the Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. in St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 1607 West Union Blvd. Bethlehem.

May his memory be eternal.

Obituary:

Panagiotis Valavanis, 79, of Allentown passed away April 13th at Lehigh Valley Hospice. He was the husband of Irini Valavanis for 50 years.

He was born in Filia, Mytilene, Greece and was a son of the late Kosmas and Stratoniki Valavanis. He was a devoted member of the St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Cathedral, Bethlehem.

He is survived by his wife Irini; son Kosmas (Cosmo) and wife Dr. Katerina Valavanis; daughter Stratoniki (Niki) Hahalis and husband Alex; daughter Joanna Athanasiou and husband Nicholas; brother Stelios and wife Hareklia Valavanis of Montreal; sister Evangelia and husband Efstratios Yialamas of Mytilene, Greece; eight grandchildren.

Services: Mr. Valavanis will Lie In Repose in the Cathedral starting at 8 a.m. for the PreSanctified Liturgy. There will be a public viewing from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., with the Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. in St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 1607 West Union Blvd. Bethlehem.
