It is with great sorrow that we write to inform you of the falling asleep of Mary (Pascal) Baxevane.

Viewing & Funeral Service:  Tuesday July 29, 2025, viewing 9:30AM to 10:30 AM followed by the Funeral Service  at 10:30 AM all at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Cathedral 1607 West Union Blvd. Bethlehem, PA  18018.  Burial in Cedar Hill Memorial Park in Allentown.  Funeral arrangements Herron Funeral Home in Bethlehem.

Obituary:

May her memory be eternal.Mary (Pascal) Baxevane, 100 of Bethlehem passed away on July 23, 2025.  She was the wife of the late Napoleon Paul Baxevane who passed on February 6, 2003.

Mary was born in Bethlehem on August 16, 1924 daughter of the late George and Alexandra (Papoutsglou) Pascal.  Mary lived in Bethlehem, PA, Asbury Park, NJ and New York.

She graduated from Haaren High School in New York.

Mary worked as a secretary for Alexander Brothers Fur Company in New York, Lehigh University in the International Relations Department,  Dr. Godshall, B. Hampson Insurance Agency, Bethlehem Steel in the Savings Bond Department, Stanford & Co. Fuel Oil Company,

Mary was a member of St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Cathedral of Bethlehem, past president of the Ladies Philoptochos of the Cathedra and member of the Senior Citizens.

Survivors:  Her children, twins Nicholas Baxevane and Alexandra “Sandy” Lipovsky wife of the late James Lipovsky and Evelyn Baxevane wife of the late Matthew Connel, five grandchildren Nicholas Paul Baxevane, Christina Scanlon, Alexander Baxevane-Connell, Moriah Baxevane-Connell and Gabriel Paul Baxevane-Connell,  three great-grandchildren Olivia Nicole Baxevane, Cole Matthew Scanlon and Chase Anthony Scanlon.  Predeceased by sisters Helen Cotosinis and Ethel Rosa, brothers Apostolos “Bob” Pascal, Gregory Pascal and Stavros Pascal.
