Good morning!
It's hard to think that we have a winter storm coming in, but that's what is being called for!
Tomorrow is our
Metropolis' Day of Service, and our project site is
Monocacy Farm Project.
Read more about them here. They are future community partners with Chrysostom Academy, who's students will learn to farm on premises.
With the incoming weather, we have two scenarios. Please reply if you would like to be added to a scenario (it will be first come, first serve.). Families are welcome, children just require parental supervision.
Scenario 1: It rains or is clear.
We can have 25 volunteers. Most of us will be working with our hands in the field. There are patches of kale plants that need to be pulled up, so dress for mud. We also can have 10 people in the greenhouse, planting seeds with Eli, the farms manager.
Scenario 2: It snows.
We can only have 10 volunteers (first come, first serve), who will work inside the greenhouse, planting seeds for the upcoming season.
The farm address is 395 Bridle Path Rd, Bethlehem, PA.
Please RSVP which scenario you're interested in, so I can get a list together to message tomorrow morning with our plan.
Thank you!
