This is to inform you that Sunil Gomes  [ batch of 1989 10th Std. Classmate of Saifee Polishwala, Jitendra Hassija, Ajay Jain.... ]  passed away !
Sunil's mother - Mrs Bernadette Gomes, was a Teacher at Vincent's for some years and taught English, History, Geography & Social Science.
 
His funeral service is to be held this evening (5th Feb) at 5 pm at City Church Cemetry, Quarter Gate, Pune 411002.. 
May God rest his soul and give grace to his parents and other family members to bear the burden of their loss.

The 18th VOBA Invitational Football Tournament  in memory of late Maj.K P Jadhav was successfully conducted  between 15th March & 8th April 2013. The Finals & Prize Distribution were held on Mon, 8th April in the presence of Fr Andrew Fernandes(Principal), Mr M K Jadhav & Mr Aditya Jadhav.  The Chief Guest was Commodore Lalit Shanker (Retd), who was accompanied by his wife. Pyarelal Chowdhary (PDFA Vice-President), Pradeep Pardeshi (PDFA Secretary) were special invitees. 

VOBA Committee Members and Tournament organizers were present in full strength. (Bobby Jacob, Allen Martyres, Saifee Polishwala, Joe D’Souza, Espusiosa Rebello, Philip Rebello, A R Shaikh . . . )

 

In the Junior Divn (2nd/ 3rd)  D.S.K Shivajians B were Winners while Sanghvi FC were Runners-Up.

In the Senior Divn (Super / 1st)  D.S.K Shivajians A were Winners while Bishops FC were Runners-Up.

In the Ladies Category  GoSports were Winners while Sangam FC were Runners-Up.
The best player of Junior Divn was Nikhil Nair of Sanghvi FC

The best Goalkeeper Junior Divn was Salim Khan of Shivajians  B

The best player of Senior  Divn was Oilex Oliver of  DSK Shivajians  A

The best Goalkeeper Senior  Divn was Ashish Chakke of Bishops FC

Mrs Gladys D'Souza (9970995463, 022-26408756, 022-26459656, gf...@yahoo.com) who retired as Teacher at St Vincent's in 2002 (same day/year as Stanley Coutinho), lost her husband (Lincoln) y'day (17th June) to cancer.
 
Mrs Gladys D'Souza's two sons (Ehrlich - Dubai & Marshall - USA) are expected.
The funeral service will be at St. Andrews Church, Bandra, Mumbai 400050 on 20th June 2013 at 5 pm.
 
The D'Souza's used to live in Mira's Society, Shankersheth Road, Pune.
Lincoln D'Souza worked with Cooper Engineering (Walchandnagar Group).
The two sons (Ehrlich & Marshall) were both Vincentians.

Mrs Kitty Nanaiya, who was a Teacher at St Vincent's for a while, also lost her husband.
The sons are to come from abroad, so the funeral service may be held only about 20th June.
Mrs Nanaiya lived in Bldg No: 6 of Guruprasad Socy, Bund Garden Rd, Pune 1.
We shall inform further details as we get it.

On 11th August 2013, it will be the first death anniversary of late Harold Joseph Sir.

The family is offering a mass at the St.Xavier’s Church, Vincent’s Street, Camp,  Pune 411001 on Sunday, 11th August at 9.30 am.

Subject: Passing away of Jagraksh Sethi (Sunny) of 1982 Batch

This is to inform that Jagraksh Sethi (Sunny) of 1982 (10th Std) Batch passed away on Sat,1st March 2014.
His mortal remains were cremated on 2nd March 2014.
"Sunny" was very helpful and regularly assisted VOBA organize the Alumni Dinners at the Boat Club.
May his soul rest in peace & may God give strength to his family members to bear up in their grief.

She was with her son Neeraj (A Vincentian) in China.
Her nephew Deepak (also a Vincentian) informs (thro' Mrs.Garcia Bhiladvala), that Mrs Bhargava passd away in the morning of 4th Sept @ 5 am [IST}
