Many Vincentians have been writing in and calling up enquiring about the St.Vincent's School 150 yrs celebratory events.
They have been enquiring if they (ex-Students of St.Vincent's High School) are permitted to attend these events.
This doubt may have arisen, since VOBA has been communicating to its (VOBA) members, the invitation of the school Management and the Committees to it (VOBA)
Those who are ex-Students of the school but NOT VOBA members were wondering if they were to be excluded.
Far from it !

All Vincentians are surely welcome to participate in the the various events of the 150 yrs celebrations at St.Vincent's.

This mail is being sent as clarification and will also be posted on facebook (VOBA & VOBA Pune), where it may have been viewed by non-VOBA members.

Last night @ 7pm, there was a mass in the Xavier's Church Compound, basically to celebrate the School Feast Day (St.Vincent de Paul's birthday)
It also kicked-off the 150 yrs celebrations of the school.
It was concelebrated by many, many Jesuit priests alongwith the two Bishops of Pune. (Bishop Thomas Dabre & Bishop Emeritus Valerian D'Souza)
It was well attended by Vincentians, Teachers (past & present), current students of the school and the Church compound was full.
Bishop Emeritus - Valerian D'Souza, who is a Vincentian, and who was ordained Bishop in a huge ceremony in the School ground in 1977, and served as Bishop of Pune for 31 long years, spoke on the occasion.
He was felicitated alongwith Dr.Parvez Grant, who is a cardiologist from Ruby Hall Clinic and a Vincentian.
Many other noteworthy priests were also felicitated.

Next event is on Sat, 1st Oct at Gulati Hall @ 7pm.
It will have a variety entertainment presented by students of the school trained by the Teachers.
Many illustrious and noteworthy Alumni will be felicitated during this and subsequent events.
Vincentians are most welcome.

Since it is anticipated that many will attend, the Committees and the school management will be arranging a live feed of the program taking place in Gulati Hall.
This will be done at Oesch Hall where the spill over of attendees will be accomodated, mandap and all.

Also, for those Vincentians who cannot attend on Sat, 1st, they may come on Sun, 2nd @ 7pm, where the event will be repeated.
Hope this sets to rest the doubts that some have has and hope to see LARGE numbers on Saturday & Sunday.
