Kevin, Fergal and everyone else...
Great to hear from you all and thanks for publishing the photo.  I guess I'm not in it because I was the one who took the picture - either that or I must have fallen down the back of the stage somewhere.

I recognise one of Kevin's unknowns in the front -it's Michael Sheehy from Botanic Ave; I don't know where he might be now but I did meet with him many years ago and he was working for the Nuclear Board in Cork I think. I'll check up on him.

We should also remember others, for example Michael Brophy who joined us in Secondary school and Niall Penrose who left around age 16 I think.  There was another guy from England who joined our class and was welcomed with the nick name "Lucy" because he had red hair.  He was a Brommie but I cannot remember his real name; he lived in Finglas somewhere.  Finally there was another whom I recall being exceedingly good at Maths in 5th and 6th years -he went on to become an actuarist I think but I'm afraid I can't recall his surname - Brian something.

Best wishes
Ray

It was Mark Keane, now living on Griffith Avenue and I am in touch with him.

Will give him a shout.

Regards,

Greg

Hi there Greg, you are quite correct.  It was Brian Moore.
One other person I've recalled and should not have forgotten is J.J. Barry who may be the unknown guy at the back in the photo. I can't seem to retrieve the photo at present to verify.  Strictly, JJ didn't graduate with us in '79 but he was with us until the end of primary school and is likely to be in the shot.

I have also just read Kevin's opening email and agree it would be a good idea to invite whatever teachers we can (except maybe "Gumption") It's a rather impersonal way to express condolences but I'm sorry to hear of all these deaths - of Niall Penrose and parents of so many of you.

Ray,

Unfortunately Niall was tragically killed in a traffic accident when he was only 23.
