The NC Dept of Public Instruction has grant funds available to places like CHH. Not this year....but let's file this away and check back to web link periodically.

This looks like something we should definitely keep on our radar for next year....

Definitely!!!

Also by way of PR/etc....how do you feel about compiling tutor "bios" - Mary Hemperly, Dave, Carolyn Anderson....others?  I'm happy to contact them & pull this together (if you don't already have).  Perhaps build a little more formality and 'structure' around the program (as you see fit;)

Thinking more about the Craig's List thing....might you consider advertising an open "information session" for people interested in exploring the idea of tutoring and/or participation?  It could be done informally on a reg wed night (with volunteer help - me/others:) so that prospective tutors/students/families could sort of see the program in action....or at another time.

Also, would you be interested/willing to go with me to potential school meetings?  I am going to start with Briarcliff, plan to approach the principal this week to see about setting up a sit-down for some time soon after spring break is over.

Finally....'when you get a chance' (ha ha funny concept i know)....I would love you to have a look at the Read & Feed program/website.

Talk to you later....off to walk w/my mom, then to call the guy from the Diocese!
