Dear Friends

I am writing to ask for help with an important cause for our military families in need. Specifically I am asking for you help to support Terry Racciato with her Christmas Toys for Marine Families charity.  Terry started this over 7 years ago when she discovered that the Marine Corps Toys for Tots program did not provide gifts to their own families.

Since then, Terry has touched the hearts of thousands of children who would truly not have a Christmas as you and I think of it.  A child growing up mired in the uncertainty of the fate of their dads and mothers has got to be one of the greatest sacrifices one can make in these times.  No child should face that alone.

The Issue:

  • Time and health have made it impossible for Terry to continue fulfilling Santa’s promise to these children by personally purchasing their most desired gifts.

The pertinent facts:

  • Each Unit’s The Family Resource Officer (FRO) can identify the neediest individuals and purchase the desired gifts.  All they need is the money…about $50 per child.
  • The budget is $20,000
  • There is now a unique opportunity to do something more; for Terry and her/our kids.

The solution:

  • Deductible contributions will be in the form of a check payable to Terry Racciato 5055 Viewridge Ave. San Diego, CA 92123 no later than December 7th…actually, the sooner the better!
  • Terry will coordinate and distribute the funds to the FROs and provide receipts to all contributors.

THE RESULT:

  • FOUR HUNDRED DESERVING CHILDREN WILL HAVE A MERRY CHRISTMAS THAT WOULD NOT BE POSSIBLE WITHOUT OUR HELP.
  • EACH OF US WILL HAVE A WARM FEELING HAVING PROVIDED A PERSONAL “THANK YOU” TO FAMILIES THAT GIVE SO MUCH OF THEMSELVES TO OUR COUNTRY.

Here is a suggestion:

Give an opportunity to your employees and/or friends to help in this effort.  Most of us at some time have asked by  our friends, fellow employees and business associates to help in a small way by purchasing crappy chocolate, cookies, magazines or other goodies for a charitable cause.

If you need any evidence this is a worthwhile cause please take some time to watch the link below.

I appreciate your time and consideration.

Sincerely,

Dear Friends,

My daughter Miranda is working hard once again to sell Girl Scout cookies, and I know they are everyone’s favorite.

However her most important goal is to sell as many cookies for the troops under the  “Operation Thin Mints” program. You can buy cookies for the troops to make sure that every service person overseas receives at least one box. She is asking everyone she sells to, to consider ordering one case of cookies just for the troops (this is 12 boxes).

Below you will find the list of the cookies available, please let me know how may you would like of each kind in a return e-mail, or if you would prefer Miranda is willing to call you  directly. Just send me the number you would like her to call you at.

Lemon Chalet Cremes – Lemon Sandwich cookies

Trefoils - Shortbread

Do-Si-Dos – Peanut butter cremes

Samoas – Chewy and rich!

Dulce De Leche – Latin-inspired caramel

Thank U Berry Much - Cranberries

Tagalongs – Peanut Butter patties coated in chocolate

Thin Mints – made with natural Peppermint

Each box of cookies costs only $4.00. Yours truly will deliver or mail them to you, and collect payment.

Thank you for your support in advance.

Sincerely,

Dear Friends,

The local Kiwanis Division 37 has taken on the task to restock the pantry at Ronald McDonald House. As a result our team here at SBC has decided to become a promoter and drop off location for this important task. You will find the information below as to what is needed, and the location (our office) where you can drop off your donations. If you have any questions please feel free to give me a call.
