“The question should not be ‘What would Jesus do?’ but rather, more dangerously, ‘What would Jesus have me do?’”

— The Rev. Peter J. Gomes, theologian and preacher

Father Phil on Hope, Courage, and the Strength to Forgive
Discovery Discussion Series

More than a pie-in-the-sky ideal, authentic forgiveness grows from the ardent belief that a better world is not only possible, but inevitable. This Sunday at 10am, join the Rev. Phil Jackson to learn how cultivating a willingness to forgive is tied directly to mustering the Christian courage to meet this moment.

Calendar Highlights

Monday

1pm | Jazz at One: Mike LeDonne Groover Quartet and Gospel Choir

Mike LeDonne grew up playing the Hammond B3 organ in his parents’ music store and began booking gigs at age 10, eventually playing with such icons as Benny Goodman and Sonny Rollins. He’ll be the first performer to marry a gospel choir with a jazz organ inside St. Paul’s Chapel.

Wednesday

1pm | Bach at One

Organist Avi Stein, with Trinity Choir and NOVUS, performs Bach’s most ambitious and joyous motet for double choir, Singet dem Herrn ein neues Lied, alongside Francis Poulenc’s Organ Concerto in G Minor, a witty homage to the maestro.

6pm | PIPES: Avi Stein with NOVUS
Join us as Trinity’s star organist celebrates the church’s glorious new organ. Stein joins with the strings of NOVUS to present two modern concertos, a sonata based on a psalm, and his own arrangement of a jazz-influenced spiritual.

Walking through grief isn’t easy; you don’t have to do it alone. Find support in a professionally facilitated online group that makes space for reflection and expression to help us cope with loss.
