Here's an update from our Driver's Ed folks:

MAY 18-20, 2018 DE
If you’ve already registered and received a confirmation email, do a “happy dance” – you’re in. If not, be sure to read everything below.
- Our First Timers Group (Group 4) still has literally a few openings, but we expect it to sell out soon.
- The Novice Group (Group 3) is filled, as is the Intermediate/Advanced Group (Group 2). However, we have no waitlist for either Group 3 or Group 2
- We still have a few openings (as always we actually mean a few) openings for Advanced drivers (Group 1) but we expect it to also be filled.
- Our Instructor Training School (“ITS”) is FULL and accepting no more applicants.
We always need more PCA Instructors, so if you are a PCA Instructor who hasn’t registered yet, please register ASAP. If you can Mentor ITS, select that option for a free weekend including open track time Friday afternoon.
We strongly encourage any interested driver to register and (if applicable) become wait-listed (see process below). With about a month before the DE, it is highly likely that we will have some cancellations which will be filled on a "first come, first served" basis from the wait-list for the applicable Run Group. Please make sure you have good contact phone numbers and email addresses listed in your MotorsportReg.com profile. If we can't contact you easily, you may lose your opportunity to come off the wait-list.
If you want to register for Sat-Sun, here's the process:
- Proceed to register on MotorsportReg.com. You will be "waitlisted" and no payment will be accepted.
- We will receive notification of your waitlist status and we will review your registration for an available and appropriate Group assignment.
- If we have a space for you, we will email you as soon as we are able and assist you in completing registration (i.e., payment) moving you from waitlist to confirmed.
- If you are waitlisted for a Group that is presently filled, and there is a cancellation slot that opens which you can fill, we will email or telephone you giving you (if possible) at least 24 hours to complete registration before the slot is offered to the next person on the list. The waitlist will be addressed in the order of the waitlisted registrations within run groups. The waitlist will be closed and your waitlisted registration cancelled at 11:59 PM on May 10, 2018.
We're sorry to disappoint anyone who may miss the event, but registration is limited by the number of cars we can safely have on the track, and by the number of Instructors we have available for those needing instruction.

JUNE 30 – JULY 1, 2018 DE (NEW)
We have added a two (2) day Sat & Sun DE the weekend of June 30 – Jul y 1. Registration for that event is planned to open May 1, 2018. Put it on your calendar and add a reminder to register early.
JULY 28, 2018 (Intro to HPDE)
Registration opens in a month on June 1, 2018 12:00 AM CDT
This a special 1/2 day High Performance Driving Education ("HPDE" or "DE") track event for drivers WHO HAVE NO PRIOR TRACK EXPERIENCE. The 1/2 day will begin at 7:30 am Saturday July 28, 2018 and conclude at 12:00 noon. There will be classroom sessions, and 4 sessions in which you will drive your car on the road course at Gateway Motorsports Park. You will be assigned a Porsche Club National HPDE experienced, trained, in-car instructor for "real time" instruction during all track sessions.
That afternoon will be free track time for Instructors who instruct in the morning. It will also be an Advanced ½ day for advanced/intermediate (prior full weekend solo) drivers. More to come.
OCTOBER 5 – 7, 2018
October 5 – 7, 2018 will be our last DE weekend of the season. Registration is scheduled to open August 1, 2018. Our Fall DE has historically sold out fast so if you miss it, it’ll be a long winter.
