St. Lawrence CRHP - the weekend is ON!

Dear St. Brigid brothers,

 

Our new brothers from St. Lawrence have done it!  They have 17 confirmed and are expecting 3-7 more in the next 48 hours.  The weekend is ON!!

 

Below is a list of the presenting team.  We had a few late additions from the Hispanic community who have graciously offered to backfill positions as Sacristans, table leaders and general help.

 

I put an asterisk by the names of those who were on the weekend we presented. 

 

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do the following:

1.       Write letters.  I’ll ask the St. Brigid office to leave a basket by the office until Saturday afternoon, time TBD. 

2.       If you’re available to attend the Candlelight ceremony on Saturday, the Rosary will be at 7 and they should be coming down around 8.

3.       Mike Briselden is coordinating a special final gift from St. Brigid to St. Lawrence, by asking for help in preparing their Sunday lunch/dinner.  Between presenting and receiving, it looks like we’ll have between 35-40.  Please email Mike for details.

4.       Receiving team names will go out later today or tomorrow.  If you can send them letters as well, that would be incredible.

Dear Pat,

     I am saddened I won't be able to make the candlelight.  They are, from a previous presenter standpoint, a lot like watching your baby grow up.  Alas, I have a baby who grew up and is having one of his own.  I will be in the Bronx at a shower for my first grandchild - I know, I look so young for 70 (I'm 50).  I will remember the whole St. Lawrence team, presenters and receivers, during my hours over the weekend.  I pray our Lord will bless you all and shower you with grace as you renew HIS parish in keeping with his own prayer for us, "Ut Unum sint."
