Hi Everyone,

Here is a link to this weekends bulletin: July 29, 2018

Announcements/Reminders:
  • Soulfest - Tomorrow evening (Sat. the 28th) in the worship area.  There are 4 bands that will have you singing, swaying and tapping your feet in the name of Jesus.  COME ON DOWN!

  • Outdoor Mass and Table of Love - is next Sunday,at 10:00am.  It's the 'feel good' event of the summer.  Don't be the only one to miss it.  Volunteers are needed at 2:00pm on Saturday (set up) and at 8:00am Sunday (assemble box lunches).  If you want to bake something sweet and bring it along that would be appreciated!

  • Vacation Bible School - Begins this Monday.  All participants please use the Church Hall entrance at the back of the building.

  • Interested in a Pilgrimage - to the Holy Land, Rome and Medjugorge in Sept. 2019? Follow this link to show your interest.  Not a committment, just a chance to see who/how many are interested.  To date 11 are interested.
Ask the Priest: My girlfriend believes that Christ instructs us to be unconditionally forgiving and expects me to forgive and forget and to welcome people who have wronged us into our home.  She says that we cannot judge them. I responded that if they genuinely seek forgiveness, I will certainly do that. They have never sought forgiveness and have never even apologized.  I hold no grudge or burning hatred and hope they see the error of their ways.  But until they seek forgiveness, I plan to just move on and ignore them.  I explained that Christ is not unconditionally forgiving to those who do not come to Him in a contrite manner seeking forgiveness. Am I wrong on this?

Ask the Priest:  A non-Catholic loved one is about to get an abortion because she thinks she is unready to have a child.  Much of the family support her decision for that reason.  I have already told them all, that there are families willing to adopt. Other than praying for them, is there anything else I can do?

Ask the Priest:  How is it that God can ask us to love our enemies and those who do evil to us when He does not even follow his own principles?  For example, the charioteers who followed the Israelite's into the Red Sea.  They had the choice of being killed by Pharaoh for disobedience or God for obedience.  There are other examples.

  • Congratulations! - Life Teen Volleyball Team A are the CHAMPIONS!!!  Nice work!!  Here are two photo albums -

I went to an appointment and parked my car displaying my handicap sign on top of my dashboard because I couldn’t hang it up as it was torn.  When I returned to my car and picked up the handicap sign from the dash there as a St. Benedict medal that looked very old under the handicap sign.  My car was locked and I don’t know how it got there.  I have another story that I don’t understand as well.  About 3 years ago I knelt down to say my prayers when I got up to get into bed, I pulled my covers back and in the center of my bed there was coin sitting there.  I live alone, no one visits me.  The coin is a 1973 Bahamian ten cent piece and I don’t know how or why this coin was there.  I am totally baffled by these two incidents and wonder what does this mean in regards to me?  Is the Holy Spirit telling me something?  Could this medal be centuries old? Could the two incidents be connected?
