Hmm Anyways, 1)the first Ques is Do I believe Modi ?
Simple Answer Yes !!
2)Is it because of Professional Track Record !!
Well Not just Professional Track Record, his administrative skills are very well known except the Godhra Incident which was early in his tenure, having said that, Let me put forth Why I believe him !!
a) Earthquake on 26 Jan 2001 had devastated the region of Bhuj, and after 2 or 3 months after the incident he took over as the CM from Keshubhai Patel, Bhuj was literally destroyed, And now if you see bhuj after almost decade and half, its a totally new city, the amount of work he did for Bhuj is enormous, and this began early in his tenure.
b) Sabarmati was a dirty, disgusting river, now the river front is clean,neat, brimming with life, this was shown in most media when Chinese President Xi Jinping was at Ahmedabad in Mid Aug !!
c) In India Agriculture growth was on an avg. growing at 3.5 to 4% every year, Guj always registered a min 8-10 % growth , and on an avg basis Guj GSDP grew at 7-9% during Modi's regime, off late in the end of 2012-14 Bihar and MP have registered growths of 12+%, but on an avg. they fail to stay on top.
Investments have been low in Guj in last decade considering UPA was in power and favoured INC ruled states, yet Modi was capable to bring in Investments from China, and he is only CM who directly had contact with Heads of State of Various countries China, Japan, Israel etc. He was preparing himself for the job of PM even when he was the CM, so his vision is pretty long (Some may call it ambitious,well what wrong if its for the good of the nation ? ).
d) Now let me take the hard Issue, Godhra Incident, He failed as Administrator !!
No Not really an India Today Conclave organised by india Today group had conducted a debate/ conference which was participated by Modi, Digvijaya Singh and Farooq Abdullah, it was mediated by Prabhu Chawla, Modi clarifies that he had sought the help of Police force from 3 states MP, Raj and Maha which were then governed then by INC and as Guj CM he had asked them send the force to curb the riots and these people didnt send their force, a statement that Diggy dint contradict !
So he did use his skills as an administrator, he had requested Army stationed at some other state to come in to control the situation, but it takes time to bring in the force to curb the riots which was an instigation which was initiated by Mr. Jafri, INC MP, the karsevaks were burnt alive, and one section of a community retaliated, its unfortunate, but then How can you blame him for it ?
Was it the first Riot ? pre 2002 their were 2 dozen or more riots, I fail to understand, why people fail to hold then CM's responsible for that ?
Perhaps half a dozen riots took place post 2002 and no one blames the CM ? So isn't it not political vendetta ?
Post 2002, he organized various Vibrant Guj Summit which added a lot to the Guj economy and Employment, so his track record is indeed unique and Distinct !!
Now I dint vote for him because their is no second choice, let us first explore all the Choices !!
1) INC under Rahul Gandhi , seriously can you call him a leader, who sleeps in parliament, whose attendance was poorer or rather half of what I had in my Graduation (42% was his %age of attendance in 15th lok sabha) and he rarely participated in debates in LS, and this guy doesnt speak, and when he does, its trash, so I can have him as my leader !!
2) SP Under Mulayam, NO Way, I would rather kill myslf than to see him as my leader, UP is worst, No power, only goondaism, no law and order ! !! No way SP !!
3) BSP under Mayavati, well it would mean return of Caste, I personally am against, caste based reservations,so i cant see her as my leader !!
4) AIADMK, Jaya, shez an able administrator, whats the Use ? Nepotism has put her in jail, corruption by her and her aide have really exposed her for good, so my vote is not for AMMA !!
5) TMC under Mamata, I dont think anyone would want to vote for her after the antics of arresting cartoonist and all, she doesn't take criticism, and what's the state of bengal ? Same since the left were overthrown, no much change even after 3years !!
6) JDU under Nitish?Sharad Yadav, again the caste Politics the EBC's and comb. be back, my friends from Bihar have told me on groudn their is no much diff. in JDU ruled Bihar !!!
7) all the Small Parties JDS, RJD, RLD, NC , NCP, PDP, INLD all thse parties are family run, do we need dynastic politics in this country ?
We are a democarcy after all !!
well AAP is left out, you could ask why not AAP led by AK, Now he had campaigned all out against congress and then goes back to form government with congress ? Now what do I call that ?? U Turn ?
He must understand to stand on his word first,than being a hypocrite !
And Prashant Bhushan Demanded plebiscite on Kashmir ? Why should I vote for him ? And Some founder members incl. shazia Ilmi quit the party saying the party lacks internal democracy, why should i believe he is my leader !!
And with all thse above parties fail to live up to standards, people have voted for Modi in a big way, but my reasons why i support him is because he is an Able Administrator with a proven track record, person whose vision is very clear !! So I chose Modi as my leader !!
