Greetings Everyone!
It has been a few weeks since I last emailed you all - we have all
been busy! I will try to be more regular in sending out these
updates.
It was great to have the Confirmation class take part in the service
a week ago. They all did a great job in all sorts of things that
day. If you see one of them, let them know that you appreciate
them!
This Sunday is Pentecost. The birthday of the church. Please plan
to attend! Readings for Sunday are
ACTS 2:1-21; PSALM
104:25-35, 37; 1 CORINTHIANS 12:3B-13; JOHN 7:37-39. As
always if you are able, I encourage you to read these texts before
Sunday. The color of the day is Red to reflect the flames of the
Holy Spirit, all you ladies, if you are not sure what colour to go
with to come to church this Sunday, why not wear something red? And
not to be sexist, men feel free as well!
We will be having our English Cream Tea soon, so do plan to come.
Timing is June 18th between 1 and 4pm. It was a fun time last year,
and will be great this year too.
There will be an Ultreya, which is a evening of music, prayer and
fellowship organized by the Cursillo ministry of the diocese on
Friday at the Hall. It will begin at 7pm and end by 8:30 with a
coffee time after.
Finally, as I talked about in church, we are going to be having
Morning Prayer, on Wednesday mornings at 10:00am in June. Yes that
is this morning! We will have a time of reflection about the
readings of the day, and will pray together for the Town of Bath,
and that, as we read this past Sunday, that God would be glorified
in our lives and in the life of our Church.
many blessings,
Steve
