St John's Bath

Greetings!

I hope you are all having a great Holy Week, and are looking forward to Easter.

Our mid-week services for Holy Week are as follows:

Maundy Thursday    7:00pm
Good Friday                10:00am

I hope you can join us.  The Rev Canon David Smith is going to be with us and preach at both services so I am looking forward to hearing him.

And of course our Easter Sunday celebration will be at 10:00am.

We have many things coming up to remember in the near future.  Please don't forget that their is no Soup and Sandwich lunch at the hall on Easter Monday, and, since the following week we are having a polling station at the hall, there will be no lunch that Monday either.  Thank you all so much for your effort in putting the lunches on, and for attending and enjoying them.  They are having a good impact on our finances, and are providing a great place for people to gather and socialize on Monday as well.

We are having a Royal Wedding Tea, on the day of the royal wedding so be sure to mark that on your calendar!

As well, on the 30th, we will be showing a Movie in the Hall at 2:00 pm for the kids (The Voyage of the Dawn Treader) and one for people a bit older, at 7:00pm (The King's Speech).  See our web site for more info. They are both great films - bring friends!

We have a Fish Fry with Mike Mundell on the 14th May so be sure to plan to come and enjoy some of the best fish available in the Kingston area.

Living Cities is going to be operating a community garden at St. John's this summer, be sure to check them out on their web site.  It will be great to be supporting community based agriculture in Bath.  You can find out much more about this on our web site so check it out!

many blessings,
Steve
