Hi there
It's Ash Wednesday, and I hope you are having a blessed beginning to Lent.
I am going to try to send out a few comments most Wednesday's to let everyone know about things going on in the church.
This has been a busy time, with some people working, or being at, some function or other at the church, most days since the middle of last week. Thank you so much for all your hard work and participation! Hopefully we will be able to slow down a bit after Ash Wednesday.
The smorgasborg was a resounding sucess, and our anual shrove Tuesday pancakes were great.
We had our first parsih council on Monday night, and we had good discussions. The draft minutes from the meeting are attached. Please be sure to talk to someone on the council if you have any questions.
Readings for Sunday are Matt 4:1-11, Romans 5:12-19 Ps 32 and Gen 2:15-17, 3:1-7. Perhas this Lent you might consider reading the lessons sometime during the week before you go to church? Some people find that they get much more out of the service if they are aware and thinking about the readings before Sunday.
Many blessings,
Steve
