Hello again everyone
I, as well as many of you have been thinking about Japan this week.
What devastation! It is sobering to think about what I would do, and how I would feel, if I was faced with the realization that there was an imminent life threatening danger and I had limited or no way to protect myself and my family. I think that as Christians we are called to think about those that are suffering, and respond. How can we help? I hope to talk a little about this on Sunday.
The readings for this week, include Gen 12:1-4a, Ps 121, Romans 4:1-5, 13-17 and John 3:1-17.
What bearing do these readings have on such great suffering?
I'm looking forward to seeing you on Sunday,
Steve
