Mission Trip update

Tuesday was another wonderful day. All returning missionaries have commented that we have accomplished more in the first two days than we have ever been able to do before in such a time frame.
The nursing team had an incredible day with an obvious bonding taking place between the mission team and the residents. An additional highlight was for the DOK members of the group to provide training for Ysabel, Fr. Sandino’s wife, and her ten new DOK members at their church of Saint Joseph’s.
Meanwhile the concrete team spent the morning preparing the forms for the next two concrete trucks. We were finished with the forms by noon, but the trucks didn’t show up until 2:45 pm. It was amazing to see our “veteran” concrete workers attack the job and finish everything by 4 pm. Everyone got involved trying new tasks and with great team work we have now completed over 40% of the basket ball court.
Everyone is health, happy and excited for the new day.
