Safe Environment Training
The Archdiocese of San Antonio requires all clergy, staff, candidates for ordination, and adult volunteers who minister to children/youth to complete Adult Safe Environment Training. Training is required to be renewed every three years. The Archdiocese of San Antonio is currently using Protecting God's Children developed by Virtus to educate adults on abuse prevention. Virtus provides traditional on-site training, on-line training, and on-line renewal training. To register for a training or to conduct the on-line training, click on the link below.

For those who have already registered, the following link will take you to the Virtus website. After signing in, changes can be made to your registration, and you can complete the online training.

Anyone attending OVASE training will need to register online.
Please follow these steps:
1) - Log onto www.virtusonline.org
2) - From the Drop down menu select “San Antonio”
3) - Click on new registration tab on next screen
4) - Next, you will be prompted to choose a screen name and password
5) - On the next screen, please fill in contact information
6) - The following screen, please choose the primary location where you work or volunteer (in most cases this will be Saint Anthony)
7) - There are a series of questions that follow that will need to be answered
8) - Lastly, pick a training session. This screen shows every training session being offered so if you want to attend training at Saint Anthony, please ensure you have selected that particular one
