Season Change Exchange Oakland, CA As a 2011 new year resolution, I decided to find ways to re-use and recycle the things I have. One of the ways I thought of was to hold an "new-to-you" type event where items that are no longer useful or valuable to the current owner could be traded for something else. For example, a DVD I don't watch for a book I've been meaning to read. The items I want to focus on trading are media (books, CDs, DVDs), gently used men's and women's accessories, and housewares. A person should join if they can commit to bringing around 20 items that they think another person might want to the meetup location. Meetups will coincide with season changes so that accessories are in-season (for example: knit scarves and caps are good to trade during the September and December exchanges), and so that traders have enough time to accumulate goodies for the next exchange.
