Good Afternoon,
I wanted to share a few upcoming opportunities, resources, and updates with the network:
  •  In partnership with the MN Department of Human Services, & Health Management Associates, a two-day, in-person training series focused on strengthening knowledge and skills to address the intersection of HIV and substance use disorder (SUD) is being offered. This series is designed for community members, social workers, counselors, clinicians, peers, and administrators, with an emphasis on advancing health equity and improving the patient care experience. Dates: June 16–17, Located at: Elmer L. Andersen Human Services Building. Lunch will be provided-additional information and links to register

  • The next quarterly HIV Tester Training is posted and available for sign up! Please feel free to forward to collogues and peers who would benefit from attending. The HIV Tester Training is required for grantee staff who are providing rapid HIV testing but is also open to all who would like to attend. Dates of training: May 18th-20th: 9am to 3pm (all three days are required) Located at: The Aliveness Project: 3808 Nicollet Ave, Minneapolis, MN 55409. More info and registration link can be found here:   https://www.health.state.mn.us/diseases/hiv/partners/training.html

  • Opioid Epidemic Response Advisory Council Application
Applications are now open for the Opioid Epidemic Response Advisory Council, which helps guide allocation of Minnesota’s opioid settlement funds. This is an important opportunity to ensure community voices are represented in funding and policy decisions.
    Priority Deadline: June 1, 2026
    Review Begins: June 2026

  • Finally, attaching a Smart Sourcing for Harm Reduction summary from recent webinar on 3/19 and links to each organization in the attached document.

Thanks, and have a great weekend!

Sincerely,
