Dear Arts Collaborators -- remember the labor union song   --"Give us bread but give us roses" as I recall it.  WIN is calling out the congregations for a Monday, December 5th rally beginning at 7 pm at the Metropolitan AME Church located at 1518 M St NW in DC to speak for job creation, affordable housing, and neighborhood revitalization -- bread AND roses.

 

Hope that many St Stephen's arts folk can join in this. The goal is to organize at least 2,000 individuals from WIN member congregations as well as unemployed and underemployed D.C. residents to demonstrate WIN's expanded membership and public support for WIN's job creation, affordable housing, and neighborhood revitalization agenda.  SSI has commited to have at least 35 representatives present at the rally.
